The Relentless Eye | Global Cell Phone Photography 2009

Helen Day Art Center
Exhibition Open September 25 to November 28
New Gallery Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, Noon to 5 pm

Stowe's Helen Day Art Center is proud to present The Relentless Eye | Global Cellphone Photography 2009. The exhibition, opening this Friday, will present hundreds of juried submissions from artists around the world who used the cameras in their cellphones to represent their unique artistic vision. Submissions will be printed to a standard 8 x 10 photographic format thereby referencing both the historical presentation of photography while acknowledging its future.

More than 1,500 entries were juried by the acclaimed photographer Eirik Johnson, who selected only 134 photographs for this exhibition. Earlier today, I received an eMail from the curator, Odin Cathcart, informing me that this iPhone photograph of mine is among those selected:

Watching old Walt Disney Cartoons on an iMac
My Grandsons Sam (L) and Tommy (R)
and their friend Elisabeth (C)

Enjoy all 134 selected photographs here.
